Famous Animators

The Warner Brothers:
- The purpose of the Warner Brothers was to make money but also to make funny animations for children
- They are one of the most creative, flexible, innovative, diverse and global entertainment companies today.
- The founders of the Warner Brothers were Albert, Harry, Sam and Jack Warner.
- They are an American producer of film, television and music entertainment.
- One of the techniques that they used was Rotoscoping and this what when they would record footage but then they would trace over it frame by frame.
- One the big shows the Warner Brothers are known for making is Scooby Doo.


Yellow Submarine:
- The person who was the animator of Yellow Submarine was George Dunning.
- One of his well know pieces of work was The Beetles cartoon series.
- Yellow Submarine was made to help The Beetle be more popular.
- The animation was innovative and it influenced the to become more interested in animation.
- This animation has been said to influence cartoons like the Simpsons, Futurama, Southpark and Toy Story.


Walt Disney:
- He was an American cartoonist, film maker, business magnate, voice actor and philanthropist.
- The main reason the Disney wanted to draw was because he wanted a place for families to go and have fun.
- One of his famous cartoons was Mickey Mouse.
- Walt Disney has been hailed as 'The Father of animation'.

Trey Parker:
 -He was an actor, animator, producer, screen writer and director.
 - When he was in the third grade he was inspired by the comedy Monty Python.
 -When he was 14 he got a video camera from his dad which he made short films on the weekends.
 -When he made South Park he used the traditional cut paper stop motion.
 -What they wanted to do with their work was to show adults and kid that people can learn from real life experiences.

Monty Python:
 -They were a British surreal comedy group.
 -The series was written and performed by the members.
 - Their influence on British comedy has been apparent for years.

Hayao Miyazaki:
 - he was a Japanese film director, animator, manga artist, illustrator, producer and screen writer.
 - He works with Studio Ghibli and he made famous anime films such as Howl's moving castle, Ponyo and Spirited Away.
 - With his work there was always a reoccurring theme which the relationship that was between humanity and nature.
- The main thing he wanted to do was entertain world wide with his work.
- When he makes his animation he still uses storyboards.

Hanna-Barbera:
 - They were a production company who made cartoons.
 -The techniques that they used was limited which was making animations when you do not redraw entire frames just key parts
- Some of the work included Powerpuff girls and scooby doo

Gorillaz:
 - They are a English virtual band who formed in 1998.
 -They used a animation technique called 'Cell Shading' which includes making a 3D model and shading different parts of the  object.
-They used a high frame rate.
- There work influenced other bands like Artic Monkeys and Young Folks
